I graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1978. I graduated from Texas A & M Commerce in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree.
I have a general interdisciplinary studies grades K-6 and also an Early Childhood certification. I have a supplimental English as a second language certification.
During my 20 years of teaching, I have attended many professional development trainings. I have been to 5 Leap Frog conferences. I have had Saxon Phonics training and teaching experience which helps me teach early reading skills. I also have had many child behavior trainings including Conscious Discipline techniques.
I began teaching in Bonham in 1997. This is my second year at Bailey Inglish and I thoroughly enjoy Head Start age children. I have been in this district a total of 20 years.
Prior to teaching at Bailey Inglish, I taught kindergarten 17 years at Finley-Oates Elementary. I worked 2 years in their library also.
My husband Ron and I have been married 39 years. We have two grown sons. My oldest son Michael just got married and I now have a new daughter-in-law named Kaylyn. I have another son Drew, who is attending Texas State University in San Maros, Texas. Both boys are graduates of Bonham High School.
We have a black and white cat named Stella.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I attend church at Ector Church of Christ. My husband likes to ride motorcycles so occasionally we take road trips or go camping.
