I started teaching at Fannin County Headstart in 2007.  I have been with  Bonham ISD my entire teaching career. Our  campus added the Pre-K program later and our school was renamed  Bailey Inglish Early Childhood Education Center. We now have Headstart and Pre-K on our campus so that we can meet the  early education needs in our community.  

I  teach 3  year olds in the Headstart program on our campus.  We have a very active, fun-filled day of hands-on learning and activities.   We have a busy day of learning  math, literacy, science, and social studies.  We  also have center time, music and movement, story time, and outside time; and we integrate art and technology in our lessons.  Every moment of the day there is a teachable moment whether we are in the classroom, walking down the hallway, or playing outside.

My husband and I have been married for 41 years.  We enjoy spending time with our family and friends,  relaxing at home, working in our yard, and watching movies. My husband likes riding his bicycle in the evening and I enjoy following him in the Polaris!   I also enjoy doing crafts,  and painting &  re-purposing furniture.  We  have two children – our son Bryce lives and works in the Plano area.  Our daughter Erin lives and works in the Sherman area and is also  working on her Master’s Degree.  We have a little poodle named Copper.  He is a stray who found us and has been ours for over 15 years.  

I love to read, and I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes.  I like tending to my plants in my container garden on my patio and sitting on my patio while it’s cool outside and drink my coffee.  We have lots of birds and butterflies around our house and enjoy watching nature.  One of my favorite things to do is to find old furniture, paint and/or distress it and give it a new life.  I enjoy the beach and I enjoy going on day trips with my friends.
