Dismissal Procedures

The arrival/dismissal door/gate will be opened at 2:45 p.m. NO WALK UPS. Parents will pull through the drive-thru lane where a staff member will bring their child to the vehicle.

The staff member will assist with putting your child in their car seat. In order to ensure safety and keep the line moving, please do not use this time to conference with your child’s teacher. Please schedule another time to meet with your child’s teacher so we can keep the dismissal process moving.

On rainy days or cold weather, we will dismiss from the inside halls.  The same procedure will happen and we will walk the children out to the cars.

Our dismissal time is 2:45 p.m – 3:10 p.m. We ask that you please wait until this time to pick up your child. The children are still in instruction time until 2:45. Children will not be released after 2:30. Please plan accordingly when scheduling appointments or make arrangements to pick your child up before 2:30.  If you need to pick up your child during regular school hours (7:30-2:30) for medical appointments or illness you will need to bring your driver’s license or Government-issued ID in order to sign your child out.

Parents are expected to pick up children by 3:10. Please respect the teachers’ time by arriving on time to pick up your child.  The time after pick-up is the teacher’s lunch/planning time spent preparing for the following day. When you arrive late they are not able to have lunch and/or get planning and preparation completed. If a child is picked up late more than three times a parent or guardian may have to meet with Family Support staff to develop a plan for on-time pick up of their child. If late pick-up continues after a plan has been developed a referral to Child Protective Services may be made as this may be considered child neglect. If there is an emergency, please call the school to make arrangements for your child to be picked up from school.
