Volunteer Information

Dear Families:

Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the most important factors in raising student self-esteem and academic achievement.  Experts agree that parental involvement should go beyond attendance at teacher conferences and open house. We hold monthly parent meetings over various topics and include an educational activity for your child at each meeting. We hope that you will make it a priority to attend these meetings.  We realize, however, that each of our families are unique – with its own priorities, needs, talents, and time constraints and so we try to provide as many different kinds of opportunities which are suggested below. Please check any you are interested in or tell us what you would like to do.  We are always in need of volunteers. Thank you for your participation.

          Volunteer in a classroom

Helping the teacher with cutting, pasting, etc

Playing with the children in centers: games, art, science, library, home living,

          building with blocks, etc.

Help with Clean up, hand washing, assist with breakfast, assist with lunch, naptime

           and dismissal.

          Help supervise playground

          Read books to children

A volunteer orientation is held in September and periodic Volunteer Training will provide Volunteers with information needed to be confident, successful volunteers.

Please help us stress the importance of school to your child by being a volunteer.  Your child and Bailey Inglish Early Childhood Center need your involvement to have a successful year.
